“Endless Column” by Brancusi struck a deep chord within me from the first time I saw it in 1976 at MOMA, I said to myself, “If this is art, then I’m going to become an artist.” and I never looked back. It allowed me to expand my perceptions of what Art could be, and gave me permission to express myself in new and innovative ways. It has been my deepest pleasure to create a neon and wood version of the “Endless Column.” The identical rhomboid shapes stacked upon one another create the idea of infinite expansion. With the addition of the soft white Neon light on all edges of the sculpture, the eye becomes more engaged in this vital continuum and is guided quickly and profoundly upward towards the “Heavens.”
